Individual Therapy

Offering evidence-based treatments drawn from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), relational therapy, and the neurobiology of trauma to help clients meet their goals, find meaning and act in alignment with their values.

My process and specialities

My overall goal with clients in individual therapy is to create conditions in which a person can explore the change they want in a safe and affirming context. I take a kind and direct stance to help individuals uncover patterns—which often feel unclear or difficult to articulate at the beginning—that may be restricting them from fully experiencing life.

Once the goals for treatment become clear, I help individuals chart a way forward to a more flexible and expansive way of living. This process can take many forms—some clients require concrete skills or structure in their life as scaffolding to help them orient to their needs and values, while others need help in being less rigidly adherent to rules and expectations that limit their capacity to be connected to what matters most. Effective therapy means honoring both flexibility and structure depending on the context, and this is a balance I am always evaluating with clients in session.
